Tell Tale Thrills

Comenius project

Dear students and teachers, is there a place in the world which you have visited once (or more than once) and would like to visit again?
Could you please describe that place and explain why is it special for you? It would be great to view some photos too.
You could also write about a place that you think is special, even though you have never been there.

My favourite place is little hill "Dorotka" near Będzin and Sosnowiec in Silesia region. I like it very much because I can jump there on my bike, and practise downhill. Dorotka isn't popular because it's small hill with church on the top. Under the church there is a downhill track and a lot of litlle hops. In My region Silesia, there are a lot of downhill lovers but I know few of them.
When we are on Dorotka, we can see a pretty nice part of Będzin.
I like Dorotka, because I can meet intresting people there, who can I share my passion with.
My favourite place is Ustronie Morskie. It is a villige in north-western Poland. I always go there on holidays with my parents. We live in a camping and we go at the sea everyday.
In Ustronie Morskie are a lot of attraction like fairground, games arcade, cinema, pubs and a lot of shops! I like shopping very much. I spend all my money for that!
I love swimming. When I go on the beach I promptly go to the water, but I like sunbathing too. I love sunbathing and reading book in the same time.
I have a lot of friends there. If it is cloudy I play table tennis or volleyball with them. We sometimes go to the cinema and pubs too. Last year we saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was very good film. Discos are nice, there is great music, food and all people dance!
Ustronie Morskie is my favourite place and I think it is worth to visit.
My favourite place is a stable. I adore horses. I like riding a horse. I can relax in the stable. The stable is my favourite place because I like quiet ind nice places. Horses are very cleaver animal. I like taking care of horses. This place is magical. I spend my free time with my ' friends' the there. I invite evryone there because evrybody can feel happy with such a splendid animal.
My favourite place is Gdynia. I love this Polish town becouse of Heinken Open'er Festival in July. I was held there in this year too. My favourite bands- Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Placebo and Late of the Pier played there. I have seen only Arctic Monkeys' and Late of the Pier's concerts but it has been the most thrilling day of my life. I met a lot of amazing people there, and I was listening to wonderful music. I am looking forward to see this awesome festival in 2010. I know that Pearl Jam plays the concert next year. Heinken Opener Festival is one of the best European Festivals.
I like a lot of places where I spend my holidays. One of them has a special meaning for me. It is a small town by the sea – Pustkowo, is located in north- western of Poland.
Pustkowo looks most beautifully in the evening. The beach is quite wide and long and sea is clean. A sandy beach is full of little shells.
Almost every year I am in Pustkowo. Always stop at the same campsite.
There are many cats and dogs – one of them dog is called Nemo. I like it. When I go out to the city he always goes with me. It is a wonderful dog, who quickly learns tricks.
Pustkowo was small village with a small amount of tourists. Now, it is changing in the tourist Town.
I have many friends there.
I really like to come there, and I am very happy when I spend the holidays there.
My favourite place in Poland is Roczyny. It’s next to the Bielsko-Biała. There are mountains (Beskidy). There is a Golden Hill(757 meters). There is a legend which tells us the story about Roczyny. There were bandits in the forest . They attacked the village on crutches. The legend tells also about the chest with gold which bandtis stole and it is still hidden somewhere. Next to the Roczyny is a small town called-Inwałd where some famous buildings are. There is also Żar Hill where you can notice a strange phenomenom, items roll up not down. This is a beautiful place there are forests, brooklets and hills.
Very nice description, which makes me wish to visit this place.
Do you happen to have any photos of the place?
You could attach them.
Thanksxxx

‘’My favourite place’’
In Poland we say ‘’Everywhere is good, but at home is the best’’. I think that this is definitely truth. People have their favourite places on the whole world, but I think, my favourite is the town where I live in, and the nearby cities, too. I don’t like beach holidays or sightseeing, so someone could think, that I just sit in my house and don’t do anything interesting in my free time. That’s not truth of course! All my friends and a big part of my family lives here, so always when I have trouble I have someone who will help me. Even if those people are very important to me, there are other things which I really like here, too. In my hometown there is a beautiful, old castle. Everytime, when I’m tired of school life I can go there, sit on the walls, or in a some quiet place, calm down and think about all what’s going around me. I meet my friends there, too. This is a perfect place to sitting on a grass or some peaceful place and talk about everything, or just looking at the clouds and dream. In nearby cities there are a lot of shop centers and clubs, where some concerts are organized from time to time.
I think, that everyone has favourite place. Such a place, where he can calm down. As for me that kind of place is there, where all my friends are.
My favourite place is Egypt but I have never been there. I like it because there's a lot of sand and it is also a foreign state and I like foreign state. I like foreign countries becouse is there another culture which is different from ours and also because there is very little rain. In the future I would like to go on holiday there.

Description of the project

We are very pleased to join in this multilateral Comenius Project.
We wish we contribute to exchange culture between our countries (France, Italy, Poland, Turkey) with the awareness that meeting in person is just one step of our common path.
We are going to start with an exchange of personal information about our worlds, and then through the study of tales representing our nation, we’ll share these tales first on this social network , then during the different visits in the different countries in person, trying to find a good way to understand and to learn how to live together in peace.
